Lectures by Patrick Kersalé (France & Cambodia)

Cambodia through its musical instruments

The nature of musical instruments and the organization of orchestras reveal various aspects of traditional Khmer society: its international exchanges since antiquity, its religious universe, its symbols. During this conference, Patrick Kersalé, accompanied or not by members of the Sounds of Angkor troupe, presents the various instruments that he reconstituted. The conference ends with a mini concert of Khmer harp. (With video projections).
